Real-Time AI Identification and Quantification of Airborne Pollen Species

This study developed and validated an integrated platform combining multigenic DNA barcoding, microscopy imaging, and AI to enable accurate, real-time identification and quantification of airborne pollen. The AI-based system achieved high accuracy in pollen identification and quantification, effectively distinguishing species and debris, demonstrating strong technical performance. This approach offers a scalable, cost-effective solution for real-time pollen monitoring, with potential to improve management of allergic airway diseases.
