HAE Attack Reduction With BW-20805

Zhi Y, Zhao X, Zhu R, et al

This open-label, multicenter phase 2 study evaluated the efficacy and safety of BW-20805, a long-acting siRNA targeting plasma prekallikrein, in adults with hereditary angioedema (HAE) across multiple dosing regimens. BW-20805 produced substantial and sustained reductions in HAE attack rates, with many patients becoming attack-free and marked suppression of prekallikrein levels, supporting strong biologic activity. BW-20805 was generally well tolerated and demonstrated durability consistent with infrequent dosing up to every 3–6 months, supporting its potential as a long-acting prophylactic treatment for HAE.
