Risk of Respiratory Tract Infections with Asthma Biologics

The study used a retrospective real-world cohort design to evaluate whether treatment with asthma biologics is associated with the risk of respiratory tract infections. Biologic therapies were not associated with an increased risk of respiratory infections overall, supporting their safety in this regard. These results reinforce the real-world effectiveness of asthma biologics, particularly in patients with eosinophilic asthma.
