While there may be mixed messaging coming from political leadership regarding the science that supports protecting others from an individual’s potential for asymptomatic virus-spreading by using sufficiently layered and properly worn face coverings, in addition to physical distancing, the broad consensus of messaging from our scientific community is not mixed, but quite unequivocal.
