The University of Connecticut has added the Anatomage Medical table to its array of teaching tools used in its medical and dental schools. This interactive visualization system allows users to study human anatomy in a virtual world, eliminating some of medical education’s reliance on human cadavers.

Students are able to perform virtual dissections and study skeletal-muscular systems in high-definition. This virtual anatomy table has applications in training for surgery as well as for expanding learning experiences beyond the limitations of examining a physical cadaver.
