David Heber, MD, Professor of Medicine, Director, UCLA Center for Human Nutrition, discusses dietary supplements, the guidelines for which are changing, and now include recommendations for a daily multivitamin plus calcium with vitamin D. There is evidence now to show vitamin supplementation does do something, and it provides one with health insurance that is ongoing.
