In this cross-sectional study of 96 participants with IgA nephropathy, lupus nephritis, membranous nephropathy, and healthy subjects, VLA-4 and VEGFD were found to be robust, non-invasive biomarkers for the diagnosis of IgA nephropathy, and may also play important roles in pathogenesis.
