Pepper Schwartz, PhD, professor of sociology, University of Washington, talks about her book Places for Passion: The 75 Most Romantic Destinations in the World – and Why Every Couple Needs to Get Away. A relationship expert and sociologist, Schwartz says that most couples don’t get away enough, and lack romance, play, and focus. The book offers four categories of romantic getaways: sultry shores, amorous adventures, passionate cities, and earthy delights. In addition, Schwartz notes that the longer a couple is together, the more they need to get away and add romance back in to the relationship.
