Telehealth & Wearables Will Help Customize Exercise Therapies

As telemedicine platforms and wearable health/activity monitors continue to proliferate, the possible use-cases continue to grow. The applications for improving access to healthcare in more rural areas and less-advanced countries are easy to comprehend, but there are also a number of ways to use these technologies to bring about process improvements in many fields of medical practice.

Patients with cardiovascular issues and/or diabetes will be better able to track their exercises and vital signs, while having the ability to seamlessly share that information with their physician(s). This high-quality, autonomous data collection and sharing will enable caregivers to analyze the data in a way that helps them recommend custom-tailored, therapeutic exercise regimens for their patients – without scheduling a long string of recurring office visits for follow-up.
