Valtech‘s new Cardioband technology may eliminate the need for open-heart surgeries to repair leaky mitral and tricuspid valves. The Cardioband can be implanted transfemorally and is guided via fluoroscopy and ultrasound.

Prof. Francesco Maisano, MD, the Director of the Department of Cardiac and Vascular Surgery at University Hospital Zurich, along with a team of heart surgeons and cardiologists, has successfully performed this low-impact procedure on a 75-year-old patient.
