Michael Swiernik, MD, Director, Medical Informatics, UCLA, discusses the implications of health care reform, such as supporting the pay structure of general practice and IT disease management. IN general, Dr Swiernik hope that if the health reform is enacted, that it will support those with chronic disease and in the future will support mobile health, the medical home and the use of personal health records.
