Hosted by the American Thoracic Society International Health Committee, respiratory health professionals from the US, South Africa, Kenya, and Nigeria discuss their experiences with COVID-19. Challenges in Africa include the inability for social distancing and minimal testing capacity; however, health care facilities have improved, health care centers have increased staffing, and previously underserved schools and communities have been provided with running water. In the US, racial and socioeconomic disparities have become more apparent.
