In an interview conducted during the 7th World Congress on Controversies in Multiple Myeloma (COMy), 2021, Mohamad Mohty, MD, PhD, of Saint-Antoine Hospital, Paris, France, discusses that cure, rather than disease control, should be a goal of therapy for patients with multiple myeloma. Prof Mohty also reinforces the concept of operational cure. Over the last decade, novel agents and combinations have provided substantial treatment advances, contributing challenge to the long-standing belief that multiple myeloma is not curable.
