Makarov, MD, MHS and Herbert Lepor, MD present the case of a 71-year-old man who had several signs indicating prostate cancer but was otherwise extremely healthy and participates in triathlons. They discuss different treatment options for this patient but explain that his predicted 15-20 year life expectancy would probably cause them to treat the cancer rather than recommend watchful waiting.
