A phase 2 trial of geriatric assessment-guided selection of treatment intensity in older adults with AML
Bhatt VR, Wichman CS, Koll TT, et al
In this Phase 2 trial of 73 adults aged ≥60 years with AML, the authors used geriatric assessment to determine fitness for intensive chemotherapy, and integrated the geriatric assessment and genetic test results to personalize the selection of chemotherapy intensity. These results demonstrate that geriatric assessment in older adults with AML is feasible, identifies several functional impairments, and can be used to guide the selection of treatment intensity.
