Susan J. Gross, MD, Professor of Clinical Obstetrics & Gynecology and Women’s Health, Pediatrics and Genetics at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine offers her insights on a few of the things that women need to think about when considering pregnancy. One of the important factors for a woman to take into account is the risk for genetic diseases. According to Gross, pregnancy is healthy, and in most cases, require only minimal testing. Nevertheless, around 2-5 percent of all babies born will have a genetic disorder. The Panorama Test is a non-invasive prenatal test which separates the maternal and fetal DNA, representing the next generation and the future of genetic testing.
