The Doctor’s Channel covered SHM 2010 in Washington, D.C., the annual meeting for the Society of Hospital Medicine. The Society of Hospital Medicine (SHM) consists of 11,194 members and is the national organization for hospitalists which is leading the transformation and improvement of care for the hospitalized patient through innovation, collaboration and action.

In this video, Dr. Banks interviews Hasan Shabbir, MD, FHM who is a physician at the Emory Clinic. Dr. Shabbir discusses his poster which outlines methods for reducing the incidence of hypoglycemia in patients in the intensive care unit.
