Neuroplasticity, or the brain’s ability to rewire and “heal” itself, is of particular interest in modern post-stroke care. However, data show that only 8-10 percent of stroke victims receive neuroplasticity-based rehabilitation in the optimal setting. There are ways caregivers, patients, and families can collaborate to improve the chances that stroke patients receive the right care under the right conditions.
