A study published in The Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology investigated the effects of drinking fresh milk versus ultra-heat treated milk in the first 12 months of life.

Researchers looked at 1,000 pregnant women from five European countries, concluding that infants who consumed fresh, unprocessed cow’s milk were 30 percent less likely to develop head colds, respiratory infections and  middle-ear inflammation.
