Endovascular Grafting

Abdominal aortic aneurysm

Jacob G. Robison, MD, Professor of Vascular Surgery, Medical University of South Carolina, discusses abdominal aortic aneurysm repair using stent grafts. These devices must be used in an anatomically correct manner, but they decrease the length of hospital stay. Postoperatively, frequent CT scans are required. He talks about the future of the procedure and compares it to the traditional open repair.
