Join us for our Abstract Highlights – ADA Scientific Sessions 2011 – Diabetes in Obese Adolescents.

Participants in the 2011 ADA Scientific Sessions discussed a study on how a simple measurement of the triglyceride to HDL cholesterol ratio could turn out to be a valuable tool for gauging diabetes risk in obese adolescents.

The study suggested that the ratio of triglycerides to HDL cholesterol is strongly associated with insulin resistance and could represent a simple way to identify those at risk of type 2 diabetes.
