More than 200,000 Americans suffer ACL injuries each year, most of them young and physically active. Many struggle with the decision to undergo ACL repair, or to stick with physical rehabilitation. A new study published in the Journal of Joint and Bone Surgery has found that ACL repair not only can save up to $50,000 for an ACL patient in their lifetime when considering treatment payment and earning capability, but also shows improved benefits of health-related quality of life.
