Joyce Ross, MSN, CRNP, FNLA, President, Northeast Lipid Association explains the goals of the National Lipid Association (NLA). Members of the NLA include: physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, dietitians, physiologists, pharmacists and researchers. The new recommendations from the NLA involve an inclusive, patient-centered approach to various problems, and aim to extend treatment beyond the statin groups and into lifestyle management and medication.
