Analyzing CT and MRI data in 2 dimensions can limit a physicians ability to discover all of the useful information contained in the volumetric scans. Echopixel is changing that with its powerful new software that converts CT and MRI scans into virtual 3D models that can be manipulated with the help of a 3D monitor, special glasses, and a unique stylus. The company achieved FDA approval in 2015 and the software is already being used at the Cleveland Clinic and Stanford University with promising results.

Echopixel’s creators hope to secure European regulatory approval soon. Future plans for the software include real-time surgery assistance and improved capabilities across all medical visualization use-cases. The tool is currently available for a $25,000 per year subscription.
