An increasing number of manufacturers are entering the robotic surgery space. There were over half of a million robot-assisted surgeries in both 2014 and 2015, and that number is expected to grow by a large percentage in 2016. These advanced pieces of machinery and technology are not meant to replace surgeons; instead, they enhance the abilities of skilled surgeons in terms of endurance and sustained accuracy.
