Major Breakthrough in Alzheimer’s Research

An article in Time reveals that a new study may have “achieved a breakthrough that could led to a revolution in the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease.” Researchers are developing a drug that prevents neurodegeneration “targeting how the brain reacts to abnormally shaped proteins responsible for neural degeneration.” The study showed that the drug is effective in mice, and scientists believe that humans could experience the same benefit.
