Leading Cause of Death in US to Be Cancer by 2030

The Huffington Post reports that according to the most recent data from 2010, the number one leading cause of death is heart disease but a new report has found that by 2030, the leading cause of death in the United States will be cancer. “The new report, titled “The State of Cancer Care in America: 2014,” also says that cancer cases will increase 45 percent by 2030.” The report also found that cost of cancer care will increase to $173 billion a year by 2020 from $104 billion in 2006 and that while the demand for cancer care will grow by at least 42% by 2025, the number of cancer care physicians is expected to grow only by 28%.
