According to Reuters, patients with the deadly Ebola virus in West Africa could be saved by something as simple as intravenous fluids. Researchers at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and Copenhagen University say many patients with the disease aren’t dying from the well-known hemorrhaging associated with the disease, but from extreme dehydration and electrolyte depletion.
