High Cholesterol in Couples May Lead to Infertility

An article in CBS News reports that couples with hypercholesterolemia may difficulty having children. The study, which was published in The Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism, tested 501 couples over a four-year span. The results showed that those couples who were unable to have children during the study tended to have higher levels of cholesterol, and those with higher cholesterol who were able to become pregnant did so at a slower rate than the couples with lower cholesterol levels.
