Stewart J. Tepper, MD, a neurologist with Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth College and a leading expert on migraine headaches, recently offered a roundup of the “state of the art” in migraine care. Migraine is a common ailment, Dr Tepper observed, with more than 38 million Americans suffering from the condition. He lauded the recent advances in preventive medicines, which can be administered monthly by patient self-injection. He also pointed to the American Migraine Foundation as a useful resource for clinicians and patients alike.
