Since its completion in 1931, Manhattan’s Empire State Building has been synonymous with the New York City skyline. Tourist attraction, office building, and radio tower, this edifice has fascinated and enthralled countless people (not to mention the 3.5 million yearly visitors).

33 years ago, the Empire State Building also became the site of a New York Road Runners race. That’s right – each year since 1978, hundreds of runners have bounded up 86 flights of stairs to the top of the building. This year, The Doctor’s Channel’s own Edward D’Amore takes the Run-Up challenge.
