Ebola Blood Hits Black Market

According to an article published by CNN Health, desperate patients with the Ebola virus are seeking a solution to their ailments–in the black market. Since survivors of the deadly disease develop an immunity, their blood is purported to have antibodies that fight the virus. Though this method is not officially proven, the blood, also known as convalescent serum has been used to treat patients. In some nations, however, the exchange of blood is often conducted improperly, leading to the spread of dangerous infections such as HIV.
