Millions of Americans live with pain every day. In fact, pain is the most common reason people see their primary care physician. Each year, almost 70 million doctor visits are due to musculoskeletal pain affecting the joints, lower back and neck. A new study examined the effectiveness of managing pain and adjusting medication use with the help of the internet and telephone. Catherine Dolf has more in this week’s JAMA Report.
