Kenny Callaghan, pitmaster of Blue Smoke, is a classically trained chef who, after extensive touring throughout the country, decided to bring the delicious tastes of authentic, down-home barbecue to New York. Since opening in 2002, Blue Smoke has quickly become a New York favorite, with a menu featuring a wide variety of barbecue styles from all over the country, including St. Louis, Memphis, Kansas City, Texas, and North Carolina.

Kenny and the team at Union Square Hospitality group have also led the BBQ renaissance in New York City by bringing together the country’s top pitmasters at the annual Big Apple Block Party, where they cook up their award-winning food for over a hundred thousand barbecue enthusiasts!
