Are Women or Men at Higher Risk of Alzheimer’s?

An article in Time explains that women may be at higher risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease than men. The Alzheimer’s Association released a report showing that a woman’s lifetime risk of developing the disease is “one in six, compared with one in 11 for men.” Right now, 5 million Americans are living Alzheimer’s and the Alzheimer’s Association predicts that by 2050, 16 million people will be living with the disease.
