Amalienborg Palace is the home of the royal family of Denmark. Built in the 1750s, this octagonal square contains four rococo palaces. Amalienborg was originally home to four noble families. The current Queen and Crown Prince of Denmark now live in one of the palaces, while the press lives in one of the adjacent palaces. The royal family has been living here since 1967. One must-see sight is the changing of the guard, which occurs at noon, daily.
