Air Purification May Reduce Risk of Heart Disease

According to a recent study from China, indoor air purification may benefit patients with heart conditions reports Reuters. Results suggested that the purification led to a reduction in cardiovascular events and risks while it could not necessarily prevent heart attacks. Previous studies had shown that fine particles suspended in air correlated to increased risk for heart problems like heart attack or stroke. Though researchers do not suggest buying expensive home air purifiers immediately, these links to chronic health problems and a potential solution are significant for countries like China with serious air pollution problems.
