Again Women’s Health at the Center of Political Debate

The New York Times reports that “The House of Representatives voted on Tuesday to impose tighter restrictions on federal payments for abortions, thrusting the issue of a woman’s right to terminate a pregnancy into the polarizing politics of an election year.” While the bill is unlikely to be passed in the Democratic-controlled Senate, the House vote put women’s rights and health at the center of political debate.
