Walking Again: Robotic Legs Passed by FDA

For individuals paralyzed from the waist down, the hope of walking again is now just a pair of robotic legs away. According to an article published by Bloomberg News, Argo’s ReWalk, a motorized exoskeleton, will provide paraplegics with the ability to walk, sit, or stand, operating these commands through a remote control on their wrist. The device, which includes a customized exoskeleton, backpack, and remote control, has been available in Europe since 2012, and with FDA clearance, will soon be available in the U.S. at a cost of around $69,500.
