Wagner Graduate School of Public Service, New York University, cites research from her book, Better but Not Well, which looks at the changes in mental healthcare in the United States since 1950. Though treatments may have not improved, she explains that there is more awareness and better delivery of these treatments as well as more support for patients with mental illnesses.
