Researchers Find Bendopnea May Be Symptom of Heart Failure

Shortness of breath while bending, bendopnea, may be the first indication of a potential heart attack, HealthDay reports. The study, published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology: Heart Failure, assessed 102 heart patients and found though most patients believed that they were out of breath because they were out of shape or overweight, the shortness of breath was due to bendopnea. “Patients with bendopnea had too much fluid in their bodies, causing elevated pressures…when they bent forward, these pressures increased even more,” experts say.
