Using the computer to communicate with your physician, schedule an appointment, see test results and even request prescription refills is becoming an important component of health care reform. Some reports estimate that 25 to 70 percent of all visits to physicians might not require face-to-face appointments. A new study examined whether patients who had online access to health records and secure physician communication used more or fewer clinical services.
