The Doctor’s Channel covered SHM 2010 in Washington, D.C., the annual meeting for the Society of Hospital Medicine. At SHM 2010, those associated with hospital medicine collaborate with one another, present posters, listen to though leaders and learn about the latest research and development done in hospital medicine.

The Society of Hospital Medicine (SHM) consists of 11,194 members and is the national organization for hospitalists which is leading the transformation and improvement of care for the hospitalized patient through innovation, collaboration and action.

In this video, Dr. Banks interviews Lorenzo Orton and Abeba Berhane, two students at University of Michigan Medical School. They discuss the role of medical students in aiding hospitals during a pandemic flu.
