James Underberg, MD, clinical assistant professor, NYU Langone Medical Center discusses the new recommendations for the management of cholesterol by the National Lipid Association (NLA).

The NLA released these new guidelines to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease and to highlight the importance of cholesterol goals and a patient-centered approach by providing a more comprehensive management plan for healthcare workers caring for patients with abnormalities in cholesterol.
