E. Murat Tuzcu, MD, Professor of Medicine, Cleveland Clinic, discusses percutaneous mitral valve replacement, which is more challenging than aortic valve replacement, using a mitral valve clip called the Mitra Clip.

Summary:
1. The Mitra Clip, a mitral valve clip, uses a clip to form a bridge between the anterior and posterior leaflets of the mitral valve, and can be used in degenerative valves and functional mitral regurgitation.

2. It is not a replacement for mitral valve surgery but it is showing promise in patients who are high risk.
