In an update from the Los Angeles Times, the meningitis outbreak has reached a total of 170 cases and 14 deaths. The CDC reports, “the steroids have been shipped to 75 clinics in 23 states and symptoms take between one to four weeks to develop.” Symptoms to watch out for are fever, headache, neck stiffness, sensitivity to light, new weakness or numbness, and increasing pain, redness or swelling at the injection site.
