On April 22nd, 2009, people from around the globe gathered at US Cellular Field in Chicago to announce the Learning Living & Loving campaign. This call to action orginates from a forum of 13 disparate prostate cancer patient groups that came together to discuss the state of prostate cancer with an aim to improve the experience of prostate cancer for men.

This charter calls upon healthcare professionals, policy makers, patient groups, pharmaceutical companies, the media and the general public to advance the early detection, diagnosis, treatment and management of prostate cancer and also take effective steps to improve the handling of the ‘whole man’ – in terms of body, mind and spirit – and the impact prostate cancer has on their psychological, emotional and love lives.
