A sore throat, nasal congestion, runny nose and even a cough. It’s the common cold, or what physicians call an upper respiratory tract infection. Low Vitamin D levels have been associated with a variety of respiratory tract infections. A new study examined whether taking an increased monthly dose of Vitamin D reduces the frequency or severity of colds in healthy adults. Catherine Dolf has more in this week’s JAMA Report.
