The intersection of wearable health-monitoring devices and telemedicine platforms might lead to better management of chronic diseases like diabetes, hypertension, and obesity. As patients gain access to improved self-monitored blood glucose meters and telehealth / concierge medicine services, they should be able to reduce their reliance on office and hospital visits, while simultaneously saving themselves, their healthcare practitioners, and their insurance companies both time and money.
