Fujifilm Influenza Drug Expects 2014 Approval for Ebola Treatment

According to Reuters, Fujifilm Holdings Corp. has announced that its influenza drug Avigan expects government approval for the treatment of Ebola by the end of 2014. The drug has been used in France, Germany, Spain and Norway to treat four Ebola patients who made full recoveries. The company has also said that its current stock could treat up to 20,000 patients, with enough supplies to make an additional 300,000 doses for treatment.
